A mileage tracker is miles left divided by the week
Start with the miles already on the shoe and the number where you retire it. A daily trainer often uses 400. Subtract, then divide by the miles that shoe takes in the week you typed. Round up. That many weeks from today is the retire date.
Price divided by the retire target is the cost per mile. A $140 shoe retired at 400 miles is 35 cents a mile. A shoe that is not used this week has no date, because the week never touches it.
The first date is free. $5 unlocks every shoe and a CSV. The training plan that feeds the week lives in RacePlan.
Shoes estimates retire dates by repeating the week you typed. It is not a wear inspection. Retire a shoe earlier for a torn outsole, a flat midsole, or a pain that showed up with that pair.
